The title `Jaina System of Education` that the book bears might be more appropriately replaced by `Educational Systems found in Jaina Literature` inasmuch as the Brahmanical the secular and the vocational education have also been dealt with. It is a historical fact that there were no watertight compartments in India separating Jainism Buddhism and other cognare schemes of life and caltgion. They all contributed harmoniously towards the development of culture as whole. Necessarily the contributions of these several systems in the field of education were inseparably mixed up.
